Collaborative teams:
The programme

The programme is designed to be the most intensive and transformative of Tracy’s options to help you embed a culture of collaboration in your team or organisation.

The programme is designed to be delivered online over a period of several weeks, although it can be compressed into an intensive on-site two-day workshop if you prefer. The compressed workshop version is perfect if you want to use this programme to help you get started on a new project.

Covering six topics, each session will last 2 hours and will be accompanied by activities for you to take on between sessions.

Cost: £4,999 for online delivery of the programme, with support between sessions.

Session 1: Why?

The most successful collaborations are built around a shared purpose and common goals. We’ll explore activities that will help teams arrive shared purpose statements, articulate and agree on goals and understand what’s in it for them individually to have them keep choosing “in”.

Session 2: Who?

The more intentional we are in planning who needs to be involved in a collaboration, the more clear it will be to everyone involved why they are there and what role they serve. In this session we’ll explore how to design teams to create ownership, perspective, momentum and diversity.

Session 3: How? (part 1)

What does it mean to be collaborative? In this session we’ll explore collaboration as a behaviour - or a state of “being” - and consider the human dynamics at play and the qualities that need to be present. We’ll consider how we will also know when we’ve stopped being collaborative too.

Session 4: How? (part 2)

Building trust and safety is essential to ensure a successful culture of collaboration, and to avoid fiefdoms and siloes forming, or unresolved tensions. In this session we’ll explore what is needed in order to design for trust, safety and the ability to move through tension and conflict.

Session 5: What?

What does collaboration look like? Is it an activity, a shared document, a brainstorming session? Or something else altogether. In this session we’ll explore collaboration techniques, planning, tracking, accountability, and the need for consistent documentation to achieve momentum.

Session 6: Where?

Does collaboration always have to be face to face? Does it need a creative space? Can it be done effectively online? What role do file sharing and project management systems play? In this session we’ll explore place and space for collaboration, from online tools to designing creative workshop spaces.

Session structure and themes

Who is this for?

This programme is perfect for teams who either work together all the time, who need to collaborate with other teams all the time, or who are working together on a specific project.

While the programme works for any level of seniority in a team, it’s important that team and project leaders also participate in the sessions and are willing to get stuck into the conversations that we will have.

We recommend that the programme be taken in groups of 4-10 people. We cap delivery at 10 people maximum.

If you wish to deliver the programme for more than 10 people in your organisation then we can offer a reduced rate for running it multiple times concurrently. When doing this, you will also have the opportunity to mix-up participants across different sessions so that they get to work with different colleagues throughout.

How will it be delivered?

The programme is designed to be delivered online over six sessions. Each session will:

  • Last for 2 hours, including time for discussion and activities

  • Be scheduled for a time that works for you and your team

  • Be distributed over a period of time you choose, between 6 weeks and 6 months

  • Include presentations of key concepts to lay the foundations

  • Conclude with activities for you to conduct between sessions

  • Support available from Tracy between sessions.

Want a more intensive format and/or in-person delivery?

We can offer this programme in a more intensive format. For example, if you’re starting a new project, this workshop can form the basis of a two-day project kick-off.

Talk to Tracy about your needs and she can shape a format that works for you.
